About The Event

From virtual assistants in our pockets to self-driving cars on our streets—artificial intelligence (AI) has undeniably stormed its way into almost every facet of our lives.

But when it comes to healthcare, where decisions can be a matter of life and death, the role of AI becomes especially intriguing. Is it a brave new world filled with unprecedented possibilities, or are we treading dangerously close to a step too far?

This October, A/Prof Ngiam Kee Yuan, Group Technology Officer at the National University Health System, sits down with Dr Juliana Chan to discuss this important topic.

In this one-hour session, let’s talk about:

⦿ The promises of AI in healthcare: How can AI algorithms enable early detection and diagnosis, personalized treatment plans, and predictive healthcare?

⦿ The ethical and practical challenges: How do we balance data-driven healthcare and patient privacy? Can we trust AI with our lives? What about the possibility of job displacement in the medical field?

⦿ The way forward: What can we do as a community to navigate these challenges? How can government and private institutions work together to ensure data privacy and job security?

Prepare your burning questions ahead and join the conversation on 13 October.

Admission is complimentary. Simply register here to join the fireside chat.
