Event background
Despite significant strides made in recent years, gender bias and inequality continue to hamper women’s progress in STEM. In response to this challenge, in 2022, we organized our first two-day leadership salon to create a safe space for women leaders in science to have raw conversations, and connect and support one another in their professional journeys.
Building on the huge success of our 2022 event–joined by 18 brilliant speakers and 100 female STEM professionals across Asia–our leadership program is back for its second edition!
This 2023, we are bringing together both women leaders and male allies to build connections and break barriers towards a more inclusive scientific community. Through this two-day summit, we aim to equip our participants with skills that are essential to their professional development and success, as well as invaluable insights and strategies for addressing the gender gap in STEM.
This is a fully-sponsored workshop, organized by the EcosySTEM: A community of STEM professionals in Asia, in partnership with the Elsevier Foundation, James Dyson Foundation, EurekAlert! at AAAS, and Asian Scientist.
